甲板实习生 Oriana Quintero
近日，我们采访了CSM的甲板实习海员：Oriana Quintero，和大家分享她的航行体验！
CSM：您为何选择在航运业开启自己的职业生涯呢？
Oriana Quintero：
和很多人一样我梦想着环球旅行，而且我的家乡就在海边，我热爱海洋！我选择航海，因为怀揣着能不断突破自己对于世界的认知和开拓视野的希望。
CSM：可以聊聊您加入船队后的首次航行体验吗？
Oriana Quintero：
实际上在这次航行之前，我曾是国有油轮船队的一员，有过4个月的油船经验。不过，CSM改变了我的航行体验，我非常热爱这里的团队，因为大家都来自不同的国家或地区，充满着浓厚的多元文化氛围，一起工作时就像大家庭一样！
CSM：关于航运，有哪些是大家之前不太了解但您希望分享的吗？
Oriana Quintero：
事实上，很多非航运界的人们并没有意识到当今航运业的巨大影响，如果你想一想，全球近80%的货物都是通过船只运输的，而为了实现这一点，那些幕后的人们，他们离开家人，每天尽最大努力，将货物运送到世界各地，这是非常令人不可思议且伟大的事情。
CSM：您想对其他实习海员说些什么？
Oriana Quintero：
嘿！因为航行，我第一次看到自由女神像，我希望你也能看到很棒的风景，同时享受你的工作！
We recently interviewed Oriana Quintero, a CSM Deck Cadet about her experience being on board.
Why did you decide to follow a career in the maritime industry?
I fell in love with the idea of travelling the world and, as my home is near the sea, I always loved it. You could say that I decided to pursue this career in hopes of expanding both my knowledge and vision of the world.
How did it feel to join an onboard team for your first ever voyage?
Actually I came from a national tanker fleet where I did my first 4 months onboard of a ship, but coming to CSM was a game changer, I love the way we are a team here, even if we are from different countries or we have different cultures, we sort it out to work together like a big family.
What’s one thing people don’t know about shipping you wish they did?
People actually didn’t realized the big impact of the shipping industry nowadays, if you think about almost 80% of the goods around globe are being shipped by vessels but to makes this happen there is people in the background, people who spent time away from their family and makes their best day by day to give results and deliver everything from port to port.
What is your message or greeting to other cadets reading this today?
Hey there! I saw the Statue of Liberty for the first time ever, I hope you're seeing great sights as well and enjoying your work too!
