RDC 72 on the Control of air conditioning systems:
Article 60 requiresthe vessel’s air condition system components to be kept in good condition withrespect to maintenance, operation, control and cleaning.
Article 61 furtherrequires that records of maintenance, operation, cleaning and disinfection ofthe air conditioning equipment as well as any air quality reports shall be madeavailable to the port health authorities. It is required that the air qualityof HVAC systems with a refrigerating capacity equal to or larger than 60,000 BTUshall be evaluated every 6 months when it comesto testing against applicable chemical and biological parameters. With respectto the requirement for air quality reports, our correspondent has informed thatport health authorities will typically require the vessel to present a valid “Air Quality Control Certificate” issued by acompetent third party company as documentary evidence for the procedurescarried out. The documentation presented is required to include informationdetailing the physical, chemical and biological parameters of the systems.
RDC 72 on the Control of synanthropic fauna specimensharmful to health:
Article 79 requires vessels in transit through or staying ina Brazilian port to be free from breeding places of insect larvae, adult insectsand other animals transmitters or receivers of diseases of importance to publichealth and poisonous animals whose presence entails risks to the individual orcollective health, as well as factors that are conducive to the maintenance andbreeding of these animals.
Article 80 further requires that vessels shall, every 6 months, be submitted to procedures ofdisinsectization and de-ratisation and that documentary evidence of theprocedures carried out, in the form of records and certificates, shall be madeavailable to the port health authorities.
Brazilian Health Regulation called RDC 10-2012 all vesselscalling any Brazilian ports must have on board the Fresh Water AnalysisCertificate and also send records related to Cleaning and/or disinfection ofFresh Water Tanks, maintenance control and/or certificates of the last 12months.
Please consider the present valid Health rule called RDC 10-2012for reading, as well some ‘key points’ for consideration as follows.:
** FW Analysis Certificate (articles 50, 51, 52 and 53)

Article 50. Water available for human consumption shall have themicrobiological, physical, chemical and radioactive parameters established asdrinking water standards so as not to pose risks to the human health.
** FW Tanks Cleaning (articles 54, 55)

Article 55. Reservoirs shall be cleaned and disinfected at one(01) year intervals or after repair works and whenever contamination issuspected.

Based on above, please send FW tanks cleaning and/or disinfectionrecords; maintenance control and/or certificates from last 12 months

在Rio Grande港口需要每一张证书usd1500;
以上证书如果在新加坡检验费用基本在500美金以下；在中国或许在300美金以下。

巴西和阿根廷港口还有坚持需要：Pest Controlcertificate。一般船上如果有了有效的sscec 证书就可以坚持说不需要pest control certificate , 很多港口代理自己制作了相关的证书上船要船长付现金，连续几个船没有支付也没有任何问题，船长可以坚持要求是港口特别要求作为港口的PDA 让租家支付。
